Lunca Prutului is a fascinating natural refuge, located just a few kilometers from Chisinau, which offers one of the most beautiful hiking and birdwatching experiences in its natural habitat in Moldova. This half-day route takes you through the "Prutul de Jos" Reserve, a protected area that is home to rare species of birds and plants, making it an ideal place for nature and wildlife lovers.

Tour details:
- The tour starts in Eco Village Văleni, from where you will enter the quiet paths of the reserve. Along the route, you will head towards the "Lower Prutul Reserve", navigating paved roads and then more isolated paths, preparing for bird watching. The necessary equipment, including binoculars, will be provided to you at the reserve headquarters, where you will receive instructions from the local guide.
- After exploring the fauna, the next option in this area is a boat trip on Lake Beleu, one of the largest and most picturesque stretches of water in Moldova. Here you will have the opportunity to see pelicans, egrets and other aquatic species in their natural habitat. Between May and July, the lake is decorated with white and yellow water lilies, giving the area a special charm.
- Afterwards, you can relax at the observation tower, where you will have a panoramic view of the entire reserve. This place gives you the opportunity to admire the vast and varied landscape of the reserve.
- The fourth stop of this tour is - the Museum of History and Ethnography in Slobozia Mare. Here you will have the opportunity to explore local history and culture through a variety of archaeological exhibits and artifacts that illustrate the traditions of the region. The museum provides a clear representation of the daily life of the past and the cultural heritage of the area.
- And if after all these activities you want to taste traditional Moldovan dishes, you can stop at the guesthouse "La Tanti Masha". In this location, you will not only be able to familiarize yourself with the gastronomy of the region, but also, if you wish, to participate in a culinary workshop where you will learn to prepare and taste traditional sweets, such as those made from hot peppers, figs with orange, and flowers of shock.
